Final Cross Country Meet Qualifies Osborne, Malloy for State

On Saturday, October 27, the BA boys cross country team competed in the WIAA Division Three Sectional at Lake Country Lutheran. The top two teams would qualify for the state championship, along with the top five individual finishers. Nathaniel Osborne and Cormac Malloy led the team again. Nathaniel placed second in the field of 130 runners with a time of 17:05, and Cormac placed sixth in 17:28. Liam Gill placed 47th in 19:18, Ryan Beckley was 57th, and Michael Hoefgen completed the scoring for BA with an 81st place finish. The team placed sixth of nineteen teams. Xavier Nye and Peter Innis both ran personal records. Osborne and Malloy both qualified for state, where they will run this Saturday in Wisconsin Rapids. For the girls, Samantha Ronge ran her final cross country race for BA, finishing 55th in the field of 112 runners.
