Epic Boys Basketball Season Comes to an End

Senior Marco Humphrey versus Messmer.

After an exciting season of hard work and school spirit, the boys basketball season has reached an end. Finishing with an overall record of 20-6, the Blue Knights advanced all the way to the sectional finals, losing 64-58 in a close match up against a strong Waupun team. The game prior, BA defeated basketball powerhouse Dominican 62-61. BA coaches and players cited the impassioned display of school spirit as a key part of their success, helping the players to remain confident despite the fiercely competitive environment. Though some point to the presence of Bucks player Giannis Antetokounmpo’s younger brother Alex (and a heated square off with the BA bench) as the center of the excitement, the spirit from BA students along with the impressive show of skill and hustle from the team stole the show.

Although the team will lose key seniors such as Marco Humphrey and Michael Connor, next year’s season looks hopeful with returning players Aidan Clarey, Logan Landers, Max Kunnert. See below for some notable stats, awards, and photos from this season.
