As another school year comes to an end, Brookfield Academy is saying goodbye to the seniors. As the graduating class of 2023 leaves Brookfield Academy behind, they move onto the new exciting adventures and opportunities that lie ahead of them.

Many 2023 graduates will be attending the University of Wisconsin – Madison, but others are headed to Columbia University, Maquette University, Northwestern, University of California- Berkeley, McGill University, Stanford University, Elon University, University of Mississippi, University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill, University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, Rice University, University of Florida, University of Pennsylvania, Butler University, Villanova, University of Minnesota- Twin Cities, Texas Christian University, Tulane University, Washington University- Saint Louis, University of Iowa, Florida Gulf Coast University, University of Central Florida, Princeton, University of Chicago, University of Tennessee, University of Kentucky, and others.

The graduating class has many plans for majors, such as aerospace engineering, pre-med, psychology, elementary education, genetics, marine science, chemistry, systems engineering, pre-pharmacy, creative writing, molecular and cellular biology, finance, pre-dental, political science, communications, quantitative economic analysis, environmental economics, classics, sports management, and many others.

Overall, there were 7 National Merit finalists, 3 Herb Kohl Education Foundation Award winners, 3 National Merit Commended Finalists, 3 US Presidential Scholars candidates, 1 Elks scholarship winner, 1 National Merit Scholarship winner, and 446 college acceptances to over 180 universities. There are also student-athletes going onto play in college, with some getting division 1 or division 2.

The graduation itself was on Saturday, May 13, 2023. The outdoor ceremony congratulating the outgoing senior class was one full of memories, pride, parents, students, teachers, and diplomas.

The graduating class of 2023 made a major and lasting impact on the Brookfield Academy community. We are so proud of their achievements, and although we will certainly miss them, we are excited to see where their college journey leads!
